Business Analysis & Optimisation
With a high proportion of fixed and semi-fixed costs, airlines can find themselves exposed in a downturn.
Success demands serious cost control and being smart about maximising profit. Airlines traditionally operate in commercial and operational silos, and our strength is to look across all areas to help you create the most profitable flying programme. It's not about maximising seat revenue or ancillary revenue in isolation, nor about blind minimisation of operating costs. Instead, we help you to understand the interaction between costs and revenue so that you can achieve a balance of objectives.
Specifically, we can:
review aspects of your commercial and/or operational performance
help you to create a more profitable schedule by better optimising revenue and costs
identify ways of keeping pressure on costs
help you to dream up the next step change in revenue and costs.
Invenzyme's Principal Consultant, Jim Paton, has analysed revenue and cost performance at organisations including easyJet, Monarch Airlines, Tiger Airways and Eurotunnel. At easyJet, Jim was part of the senior operations management team and oversaw crew resource planning from 2003 to 2005, while Invenzyme Associate Hemant Desai managed and grew easyJet's ancillary revenue function from 2004 to 2006.
