Greenwich Creativity Conference
What's Your "Red Rubber Ball"?
June 2009
For the second year, Invenzyme is running a workshop at the UK's largest creativity and innovation conference in Greenwich. The conference's theme this year is how to apply creativity to overcome the current economic and financial challenges.
The Ninth UK Creativity Conference at the University of Greenwich runs from 13th to 15th July and we are a facilitating a one-hour session called "What's your red rubber ball" on Wednesday July 15th. Using the medium of LEGO SERIOUS PLAY, the workshop will introduce you to 7 steps that you can follow to create a strong framework for shifting to a more positive outlook, either individually or in teams.
Your red rubber ball is any activity, topic or purpose that makes you excited and is the brainchild of author, speaker and social change agent Kevin Carroll. When he was growing up in Philadelphia, Kevin spent endless hours at the neighborhood playground where he found his calling: a red rubber ball. Kevin has articulated some simple rules to help us find our own “red rubber balls” and chase them to our heart’s content, to achieve maximum human potential through the power of passion and creativity.
In this one hour workshop, you will experience the magic of Kevin’s seven simple rules to help you find your red rubber ball, using simple building bricks as a creative medium. Applying the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY approach, facilitator Jim Paton will guide you through a series of hands-on exercises that will take you closer to your calling and give you an opportunity to grow.
