Aviation Stakeholder Alignment

The competitive position of airports or airlines can be enhanced by aligning stakeholder objectives

Process ownership at airports is usually fragmented between airlines, airport operator, handling agents & other ground service providers. Relationships between the parties tend to be transaction-driven, cost-focused and adversarial in nature, which manifests itself in suboptimal processes and incremental rather than ground-breaking improvements.

By aligning stakeholder objectives you can improve revenue, costs & performance for all in your air transport "eco-system". However, this requires a change of mindset from maximising individual shares of the “pie” (as illustrated by the red arrows below).

For instance, there are three ways in which we can help airports to enhance their competitive position through more cohesive stakeholder relationships:

  • Diagnose airport operations performance from the perspective of airlines, ground handlers and other stakeholders
  •
Benchmark airline performance at your airport relative to rival airports
  • Create a blueprint for the airport of the future jointly with airlines and other stakeholders
